Crummy Monday

Today was one of those days where everything seemed to go wrong. I think it should just be declared a National Bad Day. Here is a sampling!

  • The student I really needed to test today was absent.
  • As I was testing another student, a parent called venting about something. I had to send my student away to deal with the situation. (Good news-it wasn't about me!)
  • After I was finished with that fire, it was too late to get the student again for testing before lunch.
  • The printer would not print for some unknown reason this morning.
  • After my ARD this afternoon, I got the same student for testing, then his dad came to take him to the doctor, so I didn't get much accomplished.
  • Dumping the contents of a test kit out on the floor.
  • I brought a paper with me from my doctor to get an appointment scheduled. After trying this morning and getting their automated system, I decided to try again later at home. The paper is sitting on my desk at the school.
  • Once I got home, Roxie jumped on me, tearing a hole in my hose.
  • A bunch of stuff fell on the floor in the kitchen. Luckily, nothing broke or was messy!

  • Now my day is getting better, and here is why!

  • I baked some pizza and it was great!
  • I have a Coke in my hand.
  • I stopped on the way home and bought a book I'd really been wanting.
  • I have big plans for a long, hot bubble bath in the next few minutes.
  • I talked to David, which made me feel much better!
  • I have chocolate!
  • My favorite show, Big Bang Theory, comes on tonight!
  • Thirty years ago today, the Miracle on Ice happened as the U.S. hockey team beat the powerhouse Russian team. (Okay, that has nothing to do with today, but it's worth mentioning!)

  • The day is over, and as Scarlett O'Hara said,"Tomorrow is another day!"
