What a cold and dreary day outside! It's raining and cold. Because of the lovely weather, traffic was really bad this morning. There was a wreck just north of the airport. Instead of taking an hour to get to Ft. Worth, it took two hours!! Yuck! oh well, I had plenty of gas in my tank and good music on the radio. Thanx to the traffic, I missed my eight o clock supervision, but made my nine o clock class. Incidentally, there was also a wreck on 35 West from Denton, so everyone was late to my class. That made me feel a lot better.Yesterday was great! I had a new patient over in the Rehab clinic. She was very nice, and really interesting to talk to. I think I'm going to enjoy working with her. My other patient is an ongoing therapy case. Due to the holidays and scheduling problems, I hadn't seen her since mid-December. However, the session went well, I thought.
I got home and had a horrible headache! I took some Advil and ate dinner before running off to rehearsal. Just what I needed, to be banging on drums when I have a headache. I decided to stop at the drive-through Starbucks by church before rehearsal. I pull up to the box to order my drink, and the guy said, "Welcome to Starbucks, may I take your order?" I said simply,"Good evening." The guy immediately said,"I bet you want a tall caramel frappuccino!" This is what I order almost every time I go to Starbucks. I thought it was really funny that he knew exactly what I wanted! It also told me that I either go to that Starbucks way too often, or I am the only person who says,"Good evening." At any rate, I thought it was really funny! I then went to rehearsal and had a great time. I did notice that my headache was gone when I left rehearsal. Either the Advil kicked in, the caffeine kicked in, or playing the drums really does help a headache!
Last night, we got a package from my aunt and uncle who have the house in Lake City. Apparently, the news of our visit made it into the paper! They spelled my name wrong, but who cares! So, we are famous in Lake City, Colorado!
Yesterday also marked a good day for David and I. We had our first date a year and a half ago yesterday. We went out to a place called Bd's for dinner, and then dancing at Cowboy's Red River. It was the first time I had done that, and it was so much fun! Little did we know what one date would turn into. Here it is, a year and a half later, and I'm still crazy about him! We've shared lots of laughs together, and some tears, too. Here's to a wonderful year and a half! I love you, little boy!

Now, then. I admit, I am a tad bit hyper. This weekend was good. Friday night, David and I had a private dance lesson, then we had a practice, where they invite a group of people to practice the dances that they are learning. They tell us to switch partners after each dance, so we get to dance with pretty much all the other people. The most fun dance was either the tango or the samba. The tango, I was dancing with one of the more advanced students, so he knew more steps and turns that I didn't know, but he taught me, so I felt really cool. The samba was also really fun. The guy I was dancing with said he had no idea what he was doing, and I said that I didn't either, so we just shrugged, gave it a go and had a blast.
Saturday, we had a group lesson. It covered the very basics, which we just learned. They emphasize us rotating partners so we can get used to dancing with different people. Later on Saturday, David introduced me to his X-Box. We played a game called The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, which is obviously based on the movie of the same name. Anywho, I personally kicked some serious Orc bootie!!! Who knew that it could be so much fun?!?!?! (I can picture David laughing at me as I type this...) It was a lot of fun.
Sunday morning, church as usual. My alarm clock did not go off for the thir day in a row, so I decided it had to go. (I still woke up on time, though). Considering I've had that alarm clock for at least seventeen years, I think I can forgive it for not working anymore. David had a spare clock, so I'm good now. Anywho, we saw a clip from the upcoming movie The Passion of the Christ during the service. I was really impressed with the trailer, and my pastor, who saw a sneak preview of the film, talked about how good the movie was. I've heard that it is graphic, and I don't do graphic very well. I still want to go see it, though. Sunday, before the Super Bowl, David and I played Return of the King again. And once again, I seriously kicked some Orc bootie!!! And also I killed the big spider! David did much, much better than me, but he said I did really good. I was all excited and geared up for the big game. I'm not much of a football person at all. (Now hockey, on the other hand.....) However, I did enjoy the game, and the commercials.
I got home and had a couple of messages on my machine. My lab for this morning was cancelled, so I got to sleep late! Hooray for sleeping late! Tomorrow is an early day, but I have two patients of my own to see, so yay for having my own patients! (One is a new patient, the other is one I've had already, she's an ongoing therapy patient.) Then rehearsal tomorrow night.
Well, kids, I believe it is time for this little geekette (David's words) to hit the sack. Sweet dreams, world!
